Our Past Performance

Federal Government Project

Challenge:

Department of the Federal Government required a new “state of the art” benefits portal that would meet and adhere to all regulatory and security requirements. The new web portal solution required conversion to current technologies that not only enabled an improved customer service/experience, but also delivered a streamlined servicing and management processes.

Solution:

CaCS supported the migration of the legacy web portal through development, testing and implementation (and now on-going support) delivering critical requirements:

  • Modernized architecture: The new platform is built on a modern, cloud-based architecture that is more scalable, reliable, and secure than the old platform allowing improved customer service to users and for future growth.

  • Enhanced user experience: The new platform has a more user-friendly interface that is easier to navigate and use.

  • Improved integration with other systems: The new platform is more tightly integrated with other government systems, such as the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

  • Increased security: The new platform has enhanced security features that will help protect user data. 

  • Flexible and scalable: The new platform is designed to be flexible and scalable, so that it can adapt to changing needs.

Welfare Management /Child Support Systems

Dates: 2021-2023 | Value: $1,200,000

Challenge:

Extract critical business rules, policies and metadata embedded in the legacy NYS Welfare Management System.

Solution:

  • Extracted all the critical business rules, policies and metadata from the legacy system.

  • Used the Intellisys software to facilitate documentation of the system’s current state for both technical and business analysts

  • Supported process automate processes by creating a traceability matrix of the rules from source code

  • Generated custom reports ensuring all rules were extracted from the existing system

  • Established use-case documents of all existing rules, and policies

ITS Integrated Eligibility System (IES)

Dates: 2021-Current | Value: $1,250,000

Challenge:

The development and implementation of the subsystem/solution of the NYS ITS Integrated Eligibility System (IES).

Solution:

CaCS supported the development of the data model and the data integration solution for the project. Over the course of this project, CaCS provided twelve consultants:

  • Eleven (11) developers to help design, develop, document, and implement the software system utilizing ETL (4 developers and an ETL lead), Informatica (4 developers), and Java (2 developers).

  • One Tester to execute technical test cases, analyze data and record results.

OGS Benefit Administration

Dates: 2017-2019 | Value: $100,000

Challenge:

Provide strategic functional knowledge and specialized management for the OGS Benefit Administration (PeopleSoft) application.

Solution:

CaCS assisted with the development of the Requirement Traceability Metrics for the PeopleSoft Benefit Administration processes. Specific services provided:

  • Developed 188 Health and Welfare Benefit Administration Business Process Requirements

  • Supported the requirements review and overall solutioning

  • Completed “Fit-Gap” analysis for all requirements

  • Provided recommendations for system / business process modifications and enhancements

  • Assisted with requirements validation and approval.
